Surely you must be already missing the heat, walking on the beach, drinking cold drinks and celebrating your hard-earned tan. Summer is all nice and good, but before you start suffering until the next time you dive in cristal clear waters, you have to learn to appreciate every season.
So, here are 5 things that you will find fascinating about winter:
1. THE PERFECT EXCUSE:
This one is the most obvious, but at the same time the most rewarding: bad weather is the perfect excuse for staying indoors and sleep in.
2. SWEET FANTASY:
I do not know about you, but winter for me is chocolate season: it syles perfectly with the weather and really gives me that christmasy feeling. Just perfect.
3. OUTDOORS:
Going outside and feeling the fresh cold wind on your face. Priceless. Sure, provided you have warm clothes on, and are not freezing your boots off. 🙂
4. INDOORS:
Or just staying indoors all day. In your pijamas. 😉
5. FIRE:
Lying in front of the chimney and having a good read. Or just relaxing in front of the heater!
Paradise, right? Or am I just over fantasizing? Let me know in the comment section below 🙂
I LOVE LOVE LOVE winter!! Everything quits down; and you wussies are all inside! hee hee 🙂

I don’t like being hot, and summer keeps getting hotter.

True, the climate here in Italy seems to be getting more tropical as the years pass..but I love hot weather! I can travel and go out much more effortlessly, plus I usually tend to have more free time and people seem to be more relaxed without all the winter hustling going on. Or maybe it’s just cause of the good weather. 🙂

I love winter, in fact I plan most of my holidays in winter only. The pleasure of staying indoors an reading book is so tempting.
Anyways are you from Italy?? I had been there for 5 months.

Yes it’s one of the best things ever, especially if there is really bad weather, I kind of feel legitimised to do so lol. Anyways really? Where have you been to? 🙂 Yes I am from Italy, I live in sunny Sardinia, where summer is the best time of the year here. Where are you from? 🙂

I love this- my mom always tells us to embrace every season too and I definitely do! Although winter is not my favorite, I am a huge introvert and loveeee having an excuse to not go anywhere. Lol. Also the general coziness of winter, you hit the nail on the head!

Here in New Zealand November is even wilder than usual with floods and earthquakes. I am hoping for a quiet summer starting soon. But I like your attitude!

Thank you! Here too, but fortunately I live in Sardinia where there is neither of the two things. Also reminding myself that sooner or later it’ll be summer again helps too. 😀

You would make a great Canadian! We have to remind ourselves of these things every winter, plus there’s a few more we’d add to the list- hockey, ice-skating, skiing, snowshoeing… I’m not a big winter person myself, but I’ll take any excuse to curl up under the blankets with hot chocolate and a good book! Looking forward to reading more of your blog in 2017. Happy New Year!
